Assisting the Senior Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of warehouse duties to a high standard and in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with previous experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy at all times.

Deputise for the Senior Warehouse Operative as required.

Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately within the ERP system.

Assist with the receipt of inventory into the ERP system, reporting discrepancies or other issues to the Senior Warehouse Operative.

Label and put away inbound inventory into the correct bin locations.

Process picking lists and packing slips on a daily basis.

Transfer order data to parcel and pallet carrier systems.

Complete end-of-day invoice processing.

Report discrepancies in inventory levels when picking orders.

Ensure ZPs are actioned on a daily basis.

Assist with daily warehouse checks.

Operate forklift trucks in accordance with RITTB standards.

Report any issues to the Senior Warehouse Operative in a timely manner.

Assist with weekly checks of warehouse racking, documenting and reporting any damage.

Ensure orders are picked accurately and checked before despatch.

Advise Customer Service immediately of any issues affecting orders.

Assist with processing of customer returns.

Participate in the cycle count process, ensuring counts are recorded accurately on the relevant count sheets.

Assist with building pre-built kits as directed by the Senior Warehouse Operative.

Report any damaged products to the Senior Warehouse Operative.
Skills & Experience

Previous experience working within a fast-paced warehouse environment is essential.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing and processing stock.

Comfortable using warehouse and ERP systems.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow established procedures.

Good organisational skills with a proactive approach to warehouse duties.

Forklift licence would be advantageous.

Salary: £23,000 per annum.

Full-time, permanent position.

40-hour working week.

Typical working hours are around 8:30am – 5:00pm, with some flexibility depending on workload and occasional later finishes, normally no later than 5:30pm.
