Job Description

Murray Recruitment have an excellent permanent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant for a specialist mechanical company based in Glasgow.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a team, your main responsibilities will be managing the Purchase Ledger for the business and providing support to other aspects of the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

  • Posting all supplier invoices in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Processing expenses and overnight allowances.
  • Processing adhoc purchases to jobs and arranging payments.
  • Processing credit card transactions.
  • Petty cash processing & reconciliation.
  • Administering Fuel Card accounts.
  • Assisting with recording of engineer time for payroll purposes.
  • Updating purchase orders from supplier acknowledgements.
  • Assisting with sales ledger invoicing and credit control.
  • Performing general administrative duties including scanning of documents to jobs.
  • Supporting the wider finance team when required.

Experience/Skills

  • Experience within a Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger position.
  • Experience on a finance system.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Good communicator written and oral.

Offering

  • Salary up to £26k.
  • Hours of work Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm.
  • Holidays 30 days including statutory holidays.
  • Pension.
