Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assess the requirements for tenders and budgets, ensuring accurate costings for M&E – Lifecycle, Sustainability Projects, Contract Variations, and new tender opportunities.
- Conduct site surveys as required.
- Manage the tendering process from initial enquiry to final submission.
- Liaise professionally and effectively with clients and key stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Develop tender strategies in collaboration with commercial, bid, and operational teams.
- Prepare and return high-quality tender submissions within agreed timelines.
- Establish competitive pricing by working with internal teams and supply chain partners.
- Develop and manage rates, pricing structures, and incentive schemes in line with commercial strategies.
- Produce commercial documentation for senior-level review and approval.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to contract terms, ensuring legal and financial obligations are met.
- Negotiate and agree terms and conditions with clients alongside the commercial team.
- Ensure compliance with contracting standards and profitability expectations.
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including Bid, Design, Commercial, Finance, and HR.
- Create detailed reports for senior management.
- Undertake additional tasks as required by the senior management team.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in pricing, tendering, or estimating roles with a background in mechanical installations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects.
- Skilled in interpreting technical and commercial information to produce accurate pricing documents.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in preparing high-quality reports and presentations.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and their application within the workplace.
