Role Overview
In this role, reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will be vital in managing existing accounts and driving new business growth. Responsibilities include everything from providing quotations and processing orders to ensuring timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage existing accounts to achieve maximum business
- Open new accounts and ensure profitable development
- Engage with customers both face to face and over the phone
- Accurately input orders onto the system
- Provide quotes and pricing information
- Maximise add-on sales opportunities
- Make proactive sales calls to lapsed and prospective accounts
- Coordinate with the warehouse team for timely product delivery
- Liaise with external sales and credit control teams
- Promote full product range to customers
Skills & Experience
- Previous internal sales experience
- Sales experience in construction-related distribution (preferred, not essential)
- Strong numeracy and IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
Offering
- Full-time, permanent position based in Lanarkshire

- Salary: £25,000 – £38,000 DOE, with annual pay award and recognition schemes
- Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays, company closed over Christmas
