Role Overview
This permanent position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional looking to lead all aspects of the bookkeeping and accounting functions. Key Responsibilities
- Managing all bookkeeping duties including Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
- Processing payroll for all staff
- Managing all CIS responsibilities including payments and reporting
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Liaising with external parties including HMRC and accountants
- Supporting the Director with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in a similar Financial Controller or all-round bookkeeping role including preparation and submission of CIS and VAT returns
- Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks and SAGE (essential)
- Familiarity with PAYE Master is advantageous; training will be provided
- High level of accuracy and ability to manage workload independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Offering
- Permanent, full-time office-based role in Glasgow
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
