Role Overview
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong client relationships, ensuring contract retention, and identifying opportunities to up-sell additional services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage customer relationships, delivering high-quality service and meeting annual sales targets
- Negotiate and secure new contracts, as well as up-sell additional services at target profit margins
- Assist in the mobilisation of new contracts and ensure smooth handovers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions
- Produce accurate cost estimates, quotations, and supporting sales documentation
- Manage outstanding debt and ensure timely payments from clients
- Maintain an up-to-date and active sales pipeline to support growth targets
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar Account Manager or Technical Sales role
- Ideally, experience within building services, construction, or FM sectors
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competent in using MS Office applications
- Flexible and willing to travel throughout the UK, with overnight stays when required
- Full UK driving licence is essential
Offering
- Full-time, permanent, field-based role with flexibility to work from home
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Salary up to £40,000 per annum
- Commission scheme paying additional £10,000–£15,000 per annum
